Fundraising. “I’m raising 1.5m€ at a 3.0m€ pre-money valuation”, proudly said this morning one of the entrepreneurs I’m helping on their fundraising.
He doesn’t know it yet, but he’ll sooner or later fall into an easy trap that will cut his pre-money valuation by 10–20%.
This is the third time in two weeks that I warn an entrepreneur about this trick, I thus figured out I should write about it and push it online to a larger audience (share this to your fellow entrepreneurs!).
